Men’s collections getting bigger and waster every season, and leading that trend, Alexander McQueen’s AW men’s collection was full of eye catching heavy detail. The collection was presented by Sarah Burton, who gets better and better at McQueen Signature style. Feather – McQueen Staple was made famous by Asylum show in 2001.
At McQueen’s, black and grey feathers adorned to head made them look like scruffy but was not at all distractive.Tailoring was beyond expectations as always. The cut and silhouette of suit is sure to prove the fashion house as premier destination for men’s wear. The use of heritage fabric, notably tartan makes its successful entry in collection which was famous back in 90s. The fabric appeared subtly on blazers, suits and kilts.
Shades of Black, white and grey were major. Golden finish on black suit and coat is everything you need to cherish Mcqueen Fantasies. Knitted sweater in black and white straps is yet another favorite of me. Shoulders appearing broader and waists thinner, leaves us questioning what body shape we were actually looking at.
Here are my favourite looks from the collection
