Tsolo Munkh presented her spring summer 14 collection “P/E 2014” at Paris Fashion week. For the collection, she takes inspiration from her home country Mongolia and the bird eagle, which you can never miss seeing in Mongolia.Plumage and Majestic look of eagle is used as a reference.
The collar on a “gilet” evokes the collar of feathers on eagle’s neck. Another creation imbibes gold and silver wings, embroidered with glass beads. In falconry, the hood or leather cap that covers the head of eagle while it is on Hunting mission, was the inspiration behind skirts and dresses.
Leather is major part of collection, especially in a revealing skirt that metamorphosises into strips. “Gilet” a skirt cunningly represents these strips. Leather inserts are well placed on knees of baggy trousers. The leather transcends the creation, well perforated, laced and almost woven by Tsolo Munkh.
