If there is any word in the world of fashion which excites me most, it has to be “Haute Couture”. YES! Paris Haute couture fashion week 2013 started on 20th January with a hit beginning of fashion week by Atelier Versace Collection by one of my favourite designer Donatella Versace, which happened to be the only show for the day, followed by other favourites like chanel, Stéphane Rolland, Giorgio Armani Prive collection, Elie Saab, Christian Dior, Zuhair Murad, Velentino and Jean Paul Gaultier on the following days.
OKAY! Today what i have to talk about is Atelier Versace Collection. its not an easy to shadow a woman contemporary with couture culture and Donatella does it very well. If you have to ask me what is best part of the collection. I would say everything. The set, music, choreography everything. Let’s talk about collection in particular. It tends to be my 2nd favourite haute Couture collection after last year’s Stéphane Rolland collection. Full of blacks, Silvers, whites, yellows and furs! May be its not that fur which provide you with heat but style is style after all! The show begins with blazers and trousers that a corporate woman or entrepreneur of modern age would wish to have in her closet but with the feelings of being betrayed, the 2nd half of the show turns to be full of little dresses and furs.
When she was asked about the collection, the reply was “ultimately this isn’t about red carpet or museums. It’s about the 40 people who work full time in our atelier and it’s about experimentation and most important of all, about keeping craft alive”
